Things I learned today

from the newspaper:

- All Catholics are dumb and brainwashed
- Congress' only job is to play to the President's wishes and get more money for the troops
- Those we're fighting a war against are an "evil virus" and "all civilized nations" should join America in "destroying" them
- By loving Harry Potter I am neglecting to support our troops and in general just being a bad person


THIS is why I don't read anything that Bush says or the Letters to the Editor.

Um, I'm afraid to even ask how is reading HP equal to not supporting the troops?

Something about how Harry Potter was on the front page of the newspaper and the nation idolizes him instead of the heroes (ie, the troops) that we should. And they went on making sarcastic comments about making a statue of a wand.

So, according to that day's paper, I'm "dumb" and "brainwashed" simply because I'm a Catholic? Good to know. *eye roll*

Yeah, that's pretty much why I don't read the paper anymore, except for the sports section.

I love how tolerance extends to everyone except those with Christian beliefs....
