When Jack pulled into her driveway, he was surprised to hear music blaring out the windows. Most of the lights downstairs were on, and he was fairly certain that he could hear someone singing at the top of their lungs. Deciding to investigate before going in, he stepped gingerly into her flowerbed, peering into one of the kitchen windows.
He nearly laughed out loud as he watched Chloe, dressed in boxer shorts and a thin tank top, dancing around her kitchen and singing loudly. She punctuated her words with the wooden spoon she was using to bake, and Jack found himself focusing on the lyrics.
Hey! Hey! You! You!
I don’t like your girlfriend!
No way! No way!
I think you need a new one
Hey! Hey! You! You!
I could be your girlfriend
Hey! Hey! You! You!
I know that you like me
No way! No way!
You know it’s not a secret
Hey! Hey! You! You!
I want to be your girlfriend
You’re so fine
I want you mine
You’re so delicious
I think about ya all the time
You’re so addictive
Don’t you know what I could do to make you feel alright?
Don’t pretend I think you know I’m damn precious
And Hell Yeah
I’m the motherfucking princess
I can tell you like me too and you know I’m right
She’s like so whatever
And you could do so much better
I think we should get together now
And that’s what everyone’s talking about!
Hey! Hey! You! You!
I don’t like your girlfriend!
No way! No way!
I think you need a new one
Hey! Hey! You! You!
I could be your girlfriend
Hey! Hey! You! You!
I know that you like me
No way! No way!
You know it’s not a secret
Hey! Hey! You! You!
I want to be your girlfriend
I can see the way, I see the way you look at me
And even when you look away I know you think of me
I know you talk about me all the time again and again
So come over here, tell me what I want to hear
Better yet make your girlfriend disappear
I don’t want to hear you say her name ever again
(And again and again and again!)
Hey! Hey! You! You!
I know that you like me
No way! No way!
You know it’s not a secret
Hey! Hey! You! You!
I want to be your girlfriend
In a second you’ll be wrapped around my finger
Cause I can, cause I can do it better
There’s no other
So when's it gonna sink in?
She’s so stupid
What the hell were you thinking?!
He watched in amazement as she acted the song out. Smiling, he crept around the back of the house, moving towards the kitchen door. Relieved to find it unlocked, he quietly slipped in as she repeated the chorus of the song. He waited until one of her moves brought her face to face with him, and then grinned wolfishly as she dropped her spoon in surprise and her hands flew to cover her mouth.
Keeping his eyes on her the entire time, Jack walked around her slowly, reaching out a hand and shutting the stereo off. The house was eerily silent, the only noises coming from the birds and crickets outside.
“Hi Chloe,” he said quietly, the grin still on his face.
“You’re early,” she squeaked.
He nodded. “What are you doing?”
“Baking,” she answered, her hands still covering her mouth.
Jack walked up to her and pulled her hands down, keeping a hold on her wrists even after they were by her sides.
“Looks like you’re having fun. And that was an…interesting song. You were very animated. Thinking about anyone in particular?”
She shook her head emphatically, but it only caused Jack’s smile to broaden.
“You’re lying,” he whispered.
She shook her head again, this time trying to free her wrists. But his grip was too firm. The smile slid from his face and he looked at her seriously.
“I didn’t realize you hated Audrey so much.”
Chloe frowned. “What makes you think it was about her?” she demanded.
Jack laughed. “I heard you yell “fucking Audrey” between one of the choruses.”
Her eyes widened as she realized that there was no denying it anymore. “Are you going to leave?” she asked.
“Leave? Why would I do that?”
“Because…well, because…”
She was cut off by the pressure of Jack’s lips against hers. Startled, it took her a moment to respond, but then she was kissing him back fervently, her tongue toying with his as one of his hands trailed up her back and the other cupped her ass.
“I do like you,” he murmured against her lips as they pulled back to breathe.
“Then shut up and kiss me.”
He moved his lips back to hers, taking his time as he explored her mouth in depth, his body shivering at the low moans escaping her. She wrapped her arms around his neck and pushed herself against him, forcing a growl from his throat. He slid his hands under her top and up her sides, letting his fingers dancing lightly against the sides of her breasts, his brain nearly shutting down when he realized that she didn’t have a bra on.
Jack nearly jumped out of his skin when her hands moved under his shirt and up to his chest, her short fingernails scraping against his nipples and running through the short hairs there. He kissed her harder and faster, his body screaming at him to just throw her on the kitchen table and sink into her.
He pulled back suddenly, his eyes struggling to focus as he and Chloe tried to catch their breath.
“Can your baking wait?” he finally asked, still panting a little.
She frowned at him. “Yeah. Why?”
“I want another performance.” He smiled when she looked up at him in surprise. “Do you take requests?”
“Ask and you’ll find out, Bauer,” Chloe answered coyly, turning off the lights and pushing him out of the kitchen.
