OMGOSH! This was SO brilliant! And Ava and Jen talking was so reminiscent of me and my friends. Especially:
"He shouldn't be too hard on himself. Boys are stupid."
Jen grinned. "Throw rocks at them."
That's totally one of our expressions! Word for word! I was like "O.O!"

And I also loved:
"You try anything funny, Almeida, and I'll kick your ass," she mumbled before they both drifted off to sleep.
