Just say "NO" to Facebook and LJ playing together in reckless abandon

I think this goes without saying, but just in case you're planning on using the pingback feature and crossposting any posts to facebook or twitter, please don't link back to me in any way. I like facebook and LJ to be separate things, and I definitely don't want my family and most of my RL friends finding this journal (or, worse, my fic journal). Thanks for the awful changes, LJ.

This just...it boggles my mind and sickens me. DO NOT DO THIS TO ME. Please. Let's keep LJ and Facebook and Twitter completely separate, just like they were meant to be.

There's a handy code you can paste in the custom CSS of your journal to stop the ticky boxes on the comments from coming up:

.b-repost-item {display:none}

I hope this helps!

Already talked to one of the dudes that came up with it. It doesn't work on pages where custom CSS isn't used on the comment pages - and it only works on your personal LJ.

I just realized how rude that sounded. I'm sorry. I do appreciate the suggestion very much. ::hugs::

That's okay Clo, it didn't sound rude! *hugs* I wish it worked for everything. *pouts*

Just making sure. I'm pretty much over it. I don't care about the buttons so much, as long as I know my flist isn't posting. I will have to be careful on one person's LJ, since she plans to post her entries. But that's her right and she did inform us, so... I like her too much to remove her from the flist.
